Amanda Nightingale
Obituary
Amanda A. Nightingale, 99, died
Thursday (Aug. 16, 2018) at Pine Village, Moundridge. She was born
March 1, 1919, at the Alta Mill in rural McPherson County to Jacob B.
and Mary (Friesen) Stucky.
Amanda was a homemaker and before
retiring was a custodian at the Hertzler Clinic. She was a member of
First Mennonite Church, Halstead.
On June 25, 1944, she married John C.
Nightingale in Moundridge. They shared 51 years of marriage before he
died on Jan. 16, 1996.
Amanda is survived by sons, Dr. Conrad
Nightingale and wife Nancy of Bandera, Texas, Bruce Nightingale and
wife Larisa of Lawrence and James Nightingale and wife Debbie of
rural Halstead; sister, Linda Evans of Portland, Oregon;
sister-in-law, Trudy Stucky of Hutchinson; nine grandchildren; and
three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; siblings, Harold, Eldo, Nahida Miller, Freida Pauls,
Richard, Esther Wagner, Lorraine and Al; and son, Tim Nightingale.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m.
Monday (Aug. 20, 2018) at First Mennonite Cemetery, Moundridge.
Memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at First Mennonite Church,
Halstead. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 19, 2018),
with family to receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at Moundridge
Funeral Home.

Mennonite Church, Halstead, or Pine Village, in care of the funeral
home.
