Sharon Hoskins
Obituary
Sharon Kay Hoskins, 64, of Emporia,
died Friday (Aug. 24, 2018) at her home.
Sharon was born on Nov. 19, 1953, in
Newton, the daughter of Howard and Daisy Richert Mosiman. She
attended and graduated school in Whitewater. Sharon married Randall
Hoskins in Emporia in 1973. He survives of the home.
Sharon was a quilter and seamstress for
25 to 30 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Quilting
Guild and a longtime area quilter for the Quilts of Valor
association.
Surviving family members include
daughters, Kara Hoskins of Brooklyn, New York, and Meagan Hoskins
Collar of Gardner; brothers, Ben Mosiman of Newton, Bill Mosiman of
Moundridge and Russ Mosiman of Olathe; and sisters, Bonnie Schmidt of
Hesston, Vickie Voth of Hutchinson and Pat Embry of Fort Collins,
Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her
parents.
Cremation is planned with a memorial
service set for 1 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 1, 2018) at
Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. The family will greet
friends and family one hour prior to the service. If you have a quilt
she made, you are welcome to bring it to the service and share it
with the family since she touched so many with her quilting. Private
burial will be at a later date at the Missionary Church Cemetery,
Elbing.
