Nancy J. Dix
Nancy J. Dix, 56, of Newton,
passed away Saturday (March 29, 2008) at Via Christi Regional Medical
Center-St. Francis campus in Wichita.
She was born July 23, 1951,
in Topeka to William R. "Bob" and Amy Lois (Sheldon) Davis. They
preceded her in death.
She attended Newton schools
and was a 1969 graduate of Newton High School.
She married Gary Dix on June
26, 1976, in Newton. He survives of the home.
Nancy was a member of Eastern
Star, secretary of the Good Samaritan's Camping Club and an active participant
of the Midian Nomad Camping Club.
Nancy had a love for horses
and collected many horse symbols which she displayed throughout her home. She
loved dogs and enjoyed R.V. camping. She deeply loved her husband, siblings,
son and grandson. She will be remembered as a great sister and for her great
outlook on life. While struggling with cancer, she maintained a great attitude
and did not complain. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
Other survivors include
brother, Michael and Monica Davis of Newton; sisters, Pati and Mike Palumbo of
Larkspur, Colo., and Judi and Ron Taylor of Morrison, Colo.; son, Jeremy Dix of
Newton; and one grandson.
Visitation will be from 1 to
9 p.m. today at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton, with family greeting friends
from 6 to 7 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 10
a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pastor L. Ray Young officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood
Cemetery in Newton.

made to Plane of Mercy-Shriners in care of the funeral home.
