BELLA VISTA,
Ark. - Harvey D. Stucky, 79, of Bella Vista died Jan. 25, 2008, at his home.
He was born
Jan. 12, 1929, in McPherson County to Dan T. and Anna Stucky.
He was a
retired real estate broker and senior partner of Suderman Insurance Company in
Newton before moving to Bella Vista in 1979. Harvey took part in many civic and
social clubs in Kansas as well as vestryman at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church.
While in Arkansas, he supported the Razorbacks and his daughter and
grandchildren's activities.
Born one of
nine children, he was preceded in death by his father, Dan T. Stucky; mother,
Anna Stucky of Kansas; sister, Ethel Stucky of Washington, D.C.; and two
nephews of Moundridge.
Survivors
include his wife of 41 years, Sallie Stucky; one daughter, Christine Chapman
and Greg Chapman and granddaughter Sallie Quinn Phillips, all of Bella Vista;
two sons, Bill Charlsen and wife Charla Charlsen of Newton, granddaughter Sarah
Charlsen and grandsons Patrick Charlsen, Brandon Charlsen of Newton and Adam
Charlsen and wife, Jessica, of Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Helen
Montgomery and husband, Harold, and Joyce Dirks and husband, B.C., all of
Moundridge, and Maryanne Jansen and husband, Kenroy, of Grand Rapids, S.D.;
four brothers, Ed Stucky and wife, Dorothy, of Moundridge, Leroy Stucky and
wife, Kaye, of Inman, Dan T. Stucky and wife, Linda, of Wichita and Mike Stucky
and wife, Barbara, of Moundridge.
Memorial
service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mildred B. Cooper Chapel in Bella
Vista, with Pastor Dallas LaCaze officiating.
Honorary
pallbearers are Leroy Stucky, Ed Stucky, Mike Stucky, Dan Stucky, Neal Bachman
and Earl "Cotton" Finley.
All
