Armentia J.
Holinde, 64, passed away Monday (Feb. 4, 2008) at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice
in Wichita.
She was born
Dec. 4, 1943, in Newton to William and Hallie (Green) Fields. They preceded her
in death
On Aug. 28,
1970, she married Frank Holinde in Newton. He survives of the home.
Armentia was
a former employee of Hesston Corp. and Wal-mart in Liberal. She was a member of
the gem club in Enid, Okla. She greatly enjoyed the outdoors. She also looked
forward to camping, fishing and rock hunting. She enjoyed gardening and
canning. Armentia looked forward to spending time with her loving family and
friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, whom she adored.
Other
survivors include sons, Jim Holinde and Joe Holinde, both of Newton; daughters,
Sandy Holinde of Newton and Anita Tomlinson of Enid; brothers, Robert Fields of
Newton, Alfred Fields of Halstead, Ben Fields of Cleveland, Okla., and Ray
Webster of Durant, Okla.; sisters, Hallie Lindsey of Oxnard, Calif., Emma
Northern of Fountain, Colo., Roberta Simmons of Vian, Okla., Goldie Detwiler of
Pratt and Wanda Jennings of Del City, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren.
She also was
preceded in death by two brothers, Leo Fields and George Stults; and three
sisters, Polly Sue Whittemore, Dorothy Matlock and Edna Angle.
Visitation
will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton, with
family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Funeral
service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Jean
Bergen of Golden Plains Free Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will
be at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.

contributions may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of the
funeral home.
