MOUNDRIDGE - Melita H.
Goering, 84, of Moundridge passed away Wednesday (Jan. 9, 2008) at Mercy
Hospital in Moundridge.
She was born Jan. 4, 1924, in
McPherson County to Christian B. and Adina (Goering) Goering.
She was a Moundridge resident
for eight years, moving from North Newton.
She was a former employee of
Memorial Home in Moundridge and Bethel Home for the Aged and Mennonite Press,
both of Newton.
She was a member of Eden
Mennonite Church in rural Moundridge.
Survivors include brother
Jacob D. Goering and sister Evelyn Lehman, both of North Newton.
She was preceded in death by
two brothers, Erwin Goering and Eldon C. Goering; and four sisters, Amanda
Goering, Elizabeth Wedel, Anna Waltner and Luella Stahly.
Graveside service will be at
10:30 a.m. Monday at Eden Mennonite Church Cemetery in rural Moundridge. A
memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at Eden Mennonite Church with Pastor
David Stevens officiating.
