Bonnie D. Sauerwein
WALTON - Bonnie D. Sauerwein,
79, died Jan. 23, 2008, at Newton Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 27, 1928,
at Newton, the daughter of Ralph Reaugh and Stella Lilley. She worked for the
Newton Housing Authority at Midtown towers for 12 years.
She belonged to First United
Church of Christ, Newton, the Newton Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
board of directors, and was a member of the Newton Senior Center Board of
Directors, the Merry Matrons, the Extension Homemaker Unit, and was a 4-H
leader for nearly 30 years.
On March 22, 1948, she
married Wilbur Sauerwein in Newton. He survives.
Other survivors include:
three sons, Donald, Newton, Charles, Cimarron, and Mark, Newton; two daughters,
Janet Matschull, Midland, Texas, and Denise Sullivan, Leavenworth; 13
grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m.
Saturday at First United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Bill Hickerson
presiding. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery, Walton.
