Helen M. Slack
Helen M. Slack, 88, died
Friday (Jan. 25, 2008), at Newton Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 14, 1919 to
Charlie and Hilma (Rapp) Davis in Newton. She met her husband, Donald Slack, at
Boeing in Wichita. They were married Jan. 17, 1946, in Newton at First
Christian Church. They lived in Nebraska and South Dakota before moving back to
Newton in 1962. Helen really enjoyed playing cards.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, husband, niece Barbara McCann, sister Dorothy Vogt and brother
Lester C. "Boss" Davis.
She is survived by nephew
Robert and Debbie Vogt of Newton; great nephew Roger and Terry Strain of
Wichita; and great niece Patricia and Justin Keen of Fairview, Okla.
Services will be at 10 a.m.
Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
