Regier
HESSTON -
Goldie J. Regier, 83, passed away Thursday (Nov. 8, 2007) at Schowalter Villa
in Hesston.
She was born
Aug. 20, 1924, in Medford, Okla., to John H. and Agnes (Schmidt) Neufeld. On
June 2, 1947, she married Daniel G. Regier in Medford. He preceded her in death
on Aug. 22, 2007.
She attended
school in the Spring Valley school district in Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Bible
Academy in Meno, Okla. She also attended Grace Bible Institute in Omaha, Neb.
She was a
member of the First Mennonite Church in Newton. She was a supportive pastor's
wife, who shared her late husband's deep concern for the people they were
privileged to serve. She enjoyed traveling and made special trips to the Holy
Land, Rome, Holland and Canada with her husband, as well as extensive traveling
across the United States. She greatly looked forward to spending time with her
many friends and loving family.
Survivors
include daughters, Sandra and Kent Unruh of Denver, Pa., and Sheryl and Bill
Wineinger of Andover; a brother, Harry V. Neufeld of Enid, Okla.; four
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was also
preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation
will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton with family
present from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Funeral
service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Mennonite Church in Newton with
Pastor Clarence Rempel of the church officiating.
Burial will
be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials
may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of the funeral home.
