Obituary
James L. Voran, 63, died Sept. 24,
2018, at his Newton residence. He was born June 14, 1955, in Kingman
to Paul J. and Benette F. (Albright) Voran. On Aug. 16, 1975, he
married Sherri Kay Spani and she preceded him death on Aug. 8, 2000.
James was a retired painter for Boeing
and Spirit aircraft companies in Wichita.
The love of James' life was spending
time with his granddaughters, Skylar and Rylee.
He is survived by his sons and their
wives, Shane and Alyson Voran of Lehigh and Ryan and Ruh Voran of
Newton; and two brothers, Mike Voran of Hutchinson and Rick Voran of
Sterling, Virginia. He is also survived by two granddaughters.
James is preceded in death by his
parents; wife; brother, John; and sister, Gina.
Memorial service will be 3 p.m.
Thursday (Oct. 4, 2018) at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor
Donna Voteau presiding. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday
(Oct. 3, 2018), with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery,
Newton.
