Obituary
Robert Keyser was born on July 6, 1945.
He passed away Wednesday (Oct. 17, 2018) after a brave battle with
lung cancer. He was the son of James Farrington Keyser and Margaret
Martha Ballard of Salt Lake City. He was the fourth youngest of five
children.
Robert was married to Beverly Kasper on
May 18, 2010, in Eureka Springs Arkansas.
Robert is survived by two children,
Andrew Keyser of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Meghan Keyser of
Wichita. He was also loved by Beverly's children, especially Jeff,
who he loved as a son.
He is preceded in death by his father
and mother; and recently by his brother, Michael, who came to say
goodbye here in Newton; brother, Paul of Salt Lake City; sister,
Martha of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and youngest brother,
Bill of Sugar Land, Texas.
He was an active member of Newton
Christian Church, but his favorite activity was Meals on Wheels for
Newton.
Robert served in the Navy as an
avionics expert during Vietnam. He distinguished himself at Boeing
Company for more than 30 years and has been retired for more than 12
years.
His favorite color was navy blue and
his favorite song was "Truly, Madly, Deeply" by Savage
Garden. He loved the mountains, especially Glacier National Park and
the Tetons. His oldest brother, Michael, and he loved golfing and
fishing together, which he passed on to his younger brother, Bill.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m.
Sunday (Oct. 21, 2018) at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, with The
Reverend Amos McCarthy presiding. The family will receive friends
following the service at the funeral home.
