Marjorie Cain Sentel
Marjorie Cain Sentel, 87, Thornton,
Colorado, former Halstead resident, died Aug. 13, 2018 at Thornton.
She was born Nov. 13, 1930 at Colwich, Kansas, daughter of Jim and
Minnie Woolman Cain.
She attended one-room country schools,
Primrose, south of Halstead and Fairview, north of Halstead. She
graduated from Halstead High School in 1948. After graduation she was
a telephone operator in Halstead and later in Wichita.
She later worked in the office of Duke
Office Supply where she met her future husband, Gilbert Sental. They
were married in April of 1953 at Sedgwick. They resided in Wichita
until 1966 when they moved to Colorado. She worked as office manager
for several auto dealerships before retiring. She enjoyed gardening,
reading, playing cards, and spending time with family.
She is survived by three children: Greg
Sentel and his wife, Rae Denel, Omaha, Nebraska, Alan Sentel and his
wife Cynthia, of Brigton, Colorado, Connie Sentel of Henderson,
Colorado; three grandchildren: Vanessa Rath and husband Damon,
Nicholas Sentel and Kristofor Sental and husband Jay; two great
grandchildren, Riley Rath and Isaak Rath. She is also survived by a
sister, Lois Cain Watts, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by three
brothers, Gerald, Lewis and Milton and her parents.
Celebration of her life was held Aug.
17 at Northglenn United Methodist Church, Northglenn, Colorado.
