Obituary
Kenneth (Ken) Gerald Pulaski, 78, died
Sept. 14, 2018, at his residence. He was born March 12, 1940, in
Newton to Willie (Bill) and Josephine (Fisk) Pulaski. He was the
youngest of six children.
Ken graduated from Newton High School
in 1958. He married Karen McAdow in 1984.
After graduation, he held different
jobs. He was sole owner and operator of Ken's Trucking, doing the
Piggy Back service through the Santa Fe Railroad, before moving the
operation to another part of the state. After his retirement, to keep
him busy, he worked at Wal-Mart and as a U.S. Postal rural mail
carrier for Sedgwick/Valley Center.
He is survived by his wife, Karen of
Sedgwick; sons, Jerry of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Jeff (Angela) Pulaski
of Sedgwick; sisters, Betty Roth and Judy Box of Newton; brother,
Merle Pulaski of Missouri; stepdaughters, Donna (Mark) Funk of North
Newton and Deanna (Rick) Puckett of Newton; stepson, Darrel (Ronya)
McAdow of New Plymouth, Idaho; grandchildren: Katie, Aidan and Lucia
Pulaski of Sedgwick; step-grandchildren, Shelby (Tyler) Schroeder of
Newton and Colton and Cassidy Funk of North Newton; and
step-great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Levi and Brayden Schroeder of
Newton.
Ken was preceded in death by his
parents; sisters, Pauline Gray and Iris Pulaski; and
step-great-granddaughter, Carlee Schroeder.
Cremation has taken place. A
Celebration of Life, with family and friends, will be held at 10 a.m.
Friday (Sept. 28, 2018) in the Family Life Center at the Salem United
Methodist Church in Newton. Private burial following.
Memorial contributions may be made to
the American Heart Association, in care of Peterson Funeral Home in
Newton.
