-Mildred E. Puls, 94, died Monday (Nov. 26, 2007) peacefully at home in
Hutchinson.
She was born
Feb. 13, 1913, in Harvey County to Edward H. and Rosa Clara (Russell) Kauth.
She
graduated from Newton High School in 1931.
On Oct. 20,
1940, she married Albert W. Puls in Newton. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2,
1968.
She was a
realtor with Don N. Stiles and Sons before retiring in 1982. She was a member
of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.
Other
survivors include sons, Gary and wife, Linda, and Bill and wife, Linda, all of
Wichita; Galen and wife, Susan, of Albuquerque, N.M., and Randy and wife, Susan
of Hutchinson; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister,
Marion Layden of Independence, Mo.
She was
preceded in death by a brother, Charles Kauth; a sister, Bertha Selman; three
step-brothers, Richard, Russell and Donnie Altum; and a grandson, Raymond Puls.
Friends may
sign the book from 5 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary
in Hutchinson. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the
funeral home.
Funeral
service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with the
Rev. Thomas B. Mendenhall officiating.
Burial will
be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson.
Memorials
may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, First Church of the Nazarene or
Hospice Care of Kansas in care of the funeral home.
