- Allene Alma Jones Christians, 86, of Paris, Texas died Tuesday (Nov. 27,
2007).
Visitation
will be from 7 to 8 p.m today at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home in Paris, Texas, and
from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton.
Funeral
services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home with the
Rev. Mike Gentry officiating.
Burial will
follow in Hoisington Cemetery in Hoisington.
Allene was
born Oct. 23, 1921, in Everton, Mo., to John Orville Jones and Mary Belle
Jarrell Jones.
She married
Edward Earl Christians on July 19, 1941, in Beaver. Allene and Edward made
their home in Newton, where they raised their four daughters.
After his
passing in 2002, she came to Paris to be with her daughters. She retired as a
store manager for Continental Baking Co. and was a member of First Church of
the Nazarene in Newton.
She leaves
to cherish her memories, her daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Bob Brainard,
Sherry and Roger Mechels, Marla and Daniel McCleskey, and Billy Hefner;
grandchildren, Robert, Lisa and Michael Warren, BobiJo Stufflebeam, Jill
Hefner-Walters and Charlie Hefner; great-grandchildren, Natasha, Kegan and Aria
Warren, Gabriel and Paxton Stufflebeam, and Kaylynn and Colton Hefner; sister,
Tressie Lambert; and many other relatives and friends.
She was
preceded in death by her husband, Edward; daughter, Mary Hefner; sister, Daisy
Brookshier; brothers, Leonard, Willard and Orville (Jr.) Jones.
