Nora M. Tovar
PEABODY - Nora M. Tovar, 66,
died Wednesday (Sept. 12, 2007) at Newton Medical Center in Newton. She was
born on Aug. 1, 1941, in Springfield, Mo., to Carl and Rosalie (Gillian)
Anderson. She married Henry Tovar in 1994. He preceded her in death. She served
her country in the United States Army at Fort Jay New York. She worked as a
CNA/medical aide at Legacy Park in Peabody. She was a member of the Veterans of
Foreign War and the American Legion Winfield posts. She was a Peabody resident
since 2004. She enjoyed latch hook and watching television, especially CSI. She
looked forward to spending time with her loving family and many friends.
Survivors include sons,
Robert Ortiz of Peabody and Mark Ortiz of Oxford; sisters, Mary Fisher of
Broken Arrow, Okla. and Lucille Perez of Los Angeles, Calif.; four
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; three brother and one sister.
Service will be private.
Burial will be at Winfield Veterans Cemetery in Winfield.
