Carol Jean Part
HALSTEAD - Carol Jean Part,
72, passed away on Saturday (Sept. 22, 2007) at Halstead Health and
Rehabilitation.
She was born on Feb. 22,
1935, in Iola to Wendell and Marjorie Christian, who preceded her in death as
did her niece, Mallory Davis.
Her spirited, adventurous
life included "jet-setting" and worldwide travels, making her
center-stage as her many friends and family's greatest storyteller. She was
part "Dear Carol" and Part "Auntie Mame." Her generous
heart, quick wit and silly ways were entertaining, and will be greatly missed.
Mom to one, sister to two, friend and confident to many friends, nieces,
nephews and a very special "Nana" to two. Not gone, just "on the
road again," now sharing stories in heaven!
She is survived by her
daughter, Chris Rosen of Hawaii; and sisters, Jo Anne Fowler and Pat Barnes of
Wichita.
A private family celebration
of her life will be at a later date.
