Daniel C. “Dan” Rowland 35, died December 11, 2018 at Newton. He was born October 19, 1983 in Newton, Kansas to David B. and Linda Lee (Thomas) Rowland.
Dan was a graduate of Newton High School in 2002 and attended Hutchinson Community College. Family took front and center in Dan’s life. He loved his family and being there for them more than anything. He had a love of the outdoors, nature and the mountains. He could often be found spending time with a fishing pole and friends or hunting. Dan also had a knack for speer fishing. He enjoyed traveling to the Colorado Mountains, Beaver Lake and Table Rock Lake all of his favorite places.
As most of his friends know and his family defiantly knew Dan was an avid reptile lover. There were many trips taken to snake, lizard and rock hunt. It was always a surprise what kind of reptile Dan would keep around. He would sometimes ask his sister and his family to take care of and feed his reptiles which they did out love. Dan was also faithful Pittsburg Steelers fan.
