Aldine L. Funk
Aldine L. Funk, 81, died
Thursday (Aug. 2, 2007) at her residence in Newton. Funk was born Oct. 22,
1925, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Albert and Anna (Scheikowsky) Pankratz. She
was married to Arlie Funk Sept. 1, 1947, in Hillsboro. He survives of home. Her
many hobbies included gardening, sewing, quilting, many crafts and collecting
angels. She was especially proud of her baking talents. She retired from USD
373 where she was a baker for 17 years. Survivors include her husband; daughter
and son-in-law, Sharon and Kevin (Funk) Hudson of Newton; sons and
daughter-in-laws, Dwight and Sharon Funk, Dale and Kay Funk and Terry and Robin
Funk, all of Newton; brothers, Harold Pankratz of Hillsboro and Paul Pankratz
of Bella Vista, Ark., sisters, Marjorie Just of Hillsboro and Marilyn Neally of
Tituaville, Fla.; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her parents.
Family will greet friends
from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Service will be 10 a.m.
Monday at the First Church of God in Newton with Pastor Brian Curran officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood
Cemetery.
