Alice Louise Dodd
Alice Louise Dodd, 80, died
Monday (Aug. 13, 2007). A family graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Thursday
at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton, and funeral services will be at 11 a.m.
Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, 330 N. Broadway. Dodd was born
Sept. 18, 1926, in Newton to Arthur and Edna Claassen. She was married for 55
years to her loving husband, Herbert, a Wichita attorney. Dodd, a current
registered nurse, practiced nursing at Wesley Hospital for 50 years. She was
preceded in death by her parents, by her brother, Donald Eugene, and by two
sisters who died in infancy, Ruth Elaine and Betty Ann.
Alice is survived by her
husband, Herbert; one sister, Lois Dick of Denver; a sister-in-law, Wanda
(Donald Eugene) Claassen of Newton; son, Kenny (Cathy) Dodd of San Diego and
their children, Patrick (Baylor University), Jordan (Taylor University), Laura
and Graham, and son, Jimmy (Sally) Dodd of Overland Park and their children,
Mark (Wheaton College), Megan, Sarah, Paige and Allie.
