Minh Ngoe Tran
Minh Ngoe Tran, 64, died
Friday (Aug. 17, 2007) at his residence in Newton. Minh Ngoe Tran was born Feb.
4, 1943, at Long An, Vietnam, to Huyen Van Tran and Nam Thi Tran. They preceded
him in death. On July 29, 1973, he married Dung Thi Nguyen at Log An. She
survives of their Newton home. Tran retired as a machinist from Excel
Industries in Hesston. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend
who will be greatly missed by his loving family. He is survived his wife;
daughters, Hai and Sean Koulaboud of Wichita, and Julie and Joseph Nguyen of
Newton; grandson Alexander Nguyen of Newton; brothers, Mai Tran of Vietnam and
Don Tran of Newton; and sisters, Chi Tran of California, Xuan Tran of Newton,
Tuyet Tran of McPherson and Anh Tran of Canada.
He also was preceded in death
by a son, Phuc Minh Quoc Tran.
Service will be at noon
Tuesday at the Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Hickerson of
First United Church of Christ in Newton officiating.
A public visitation will be
from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home. A private family interment
will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
The family requests no gifts
other than designated memorial donations. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care
of Kansas and First United Church of Christ in care of the funeral home.
