Tia Smith
Obituary
Tia Lyn Smith, 52, of Newton, passed
away Tuesday (Dec. 11, 2018) at home surrounded by her family.
She was born on Sept. 29, 1966, in
Denver and grew to womanhood in Moundridge.
After marriage in the 1990s, she
birthed three sons, Daniel, Dylan and Joshua; and a daughter, Kady.
They were absolutely the love of her life.
She loved working at ResCare as a home
health aide; the residents loved her and she loved them.
Later in life, she enjoyed fishing and
hunting with her friend and partner-in-crime, Jason Kasper.
She is survived by her parents, Ross
and Sandy VanCuren of Peabody; brother, Todd Smith of Hutchinson; and
grandchildren: Katalaya, Arianna, Diego, Dominic, Lakynn, Izley,
Layla, Bryson, Colton and Zanden, who is due any day. She is also
survived by "Pops," Gary McCloud of Newton.
A private family service will be held
Saturday (Dec. 15, 2018).
