Sharon Bowen
Obituary
Sharon L. Bowen, 51, died Sunday (Dec.
16, 2018) at her home. She was born July 25, 1967, in Ellsworth to
Gary D. Sr. and Mary F. (Bray) Curtis. Sharon worked as a cook for
Parkside Nursing Home in Hillsboro. She was a member of Newton
Christian Church.
On Dec. 16, 2017, she married David
Bowen in Newton.
Sharon is survived by husband, David,
of the home; sons, Michael Horting and fiancée Crystal Leatherman,
Cody Horting, and Devon Horting and fiancée Felicia Ashbridge, all
of Salina; stepchildren, Carie (Edwin) Jones of Hutchinson, Dannel
(Melinda) Bowen of Moundridge and Glendon (Marissa) Bowen of
Hutchinson; six grandchildren; siblings: Sandy (James) Pearson, Mary
(David) Prager, Gary D. (Cynthia) Curtis Jr., Katy (Rick) Pickering,
Dede (Kelly) Case and Georgia Ann Markle; and stepfather, Ronald
Markle.
She was preceded in death by her
parents.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial
service will be 10 a.m. Friday (Dec. 21, 2018) at Newton Christian
Church. Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time
Friday.
