LoErna Koch Palmer Simpson

LoErna Koch Palmer Simpson died Oct.
13, 2018 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease in Oregon. She
was the daughter of Ernest and Lola Basore Koch at Sedgwick, Kansas,
and a resident of Sedgwick until graduating from Sedgwick High School
in 1957.
She held degrees in textiles from
Friends University, Kansas State University, Texas Women’s
University and was an assistant professor at the University of
Kentucky, Oregon State and Bassist College.
She was very active in the First United
Methodist Church at Corvallis, Oregon. She married Thomas Palmer and
later James E. Simpson.
Survivors include her children Laura
Welch, Larry Palmer and Tammy Simpson, a brother John Koch of
Garland, Texas and step-children Jeannie Samdani, Greg and Remy
Simpson.
