Obituary
Terry Lee Martin, 73, died Sunday (Nov.
11, 2018) at his Newton residence. He was born Nov. 15, 1944, in
Ashland to Guy W. and Helen (Williams) Martin.
He attended school in Protection and
Wichita. After graduating from East High School in Wichita, he joined
the U.S. Army in 1963. He served his country proudly in Germany.
Terry had a great love of family, being a friend to others and
American Eagles.
He is preceded in death by his parents;
wife, Leora "Lee" Martin; sister, Joyce Lenertz and
brother-in-law Bob Lenertz; sister, Glenda Wonderling and
brother-in-law Donley Wonderling; stepdaughter, Stacey Tappan; and
nieces, Brenda Rainey and Donna Bosschieter.
Terry is survived by his son, Michael
Martin; stepdaughter, Teresa Kem (Scott); sister, Guyla Ivers
(Barry); his companion, Donna Bergeson; and grandsons: Nicholas
Martin, Erik Mason, Michael Mason, Eric Hardman and Jeff Kem. He is
also survived by nine great-grandchildren and a host of loving
nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m.
Thursday (Nov. 15, 2018) at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, Newton.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 14, 2018) at Petersen
Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Burial with military honors will be in the Greenwood Cemetery,
Newton.
