Gary Stahl
Obituary
Gary Lee Stahl, 71, of Sedgwick, passed
away Monday (Nov. 26, 2018) while traveling through Oklahoma. He was
born on Oct. 3, 1947, in Newton to Elmer and Ethel (Iserhardt) Stahl.
They preceded him in death. He married Nancy Fry in November 1993.
She survives of the home.
Gary was a self-employed carpenter and
a retired Farm Bureau agent. He was a member of the Sedgwick United
Methodist Church, the American Legion and a men's Bible study group.
He served on the Sedgwick County water drainage district and the
Sedgwick Housing Authority board.
He served in the Army and Army reserves
in the Vietnam era. He was an avid outdoorsmen, hunter, fisher and
exceptionally skilled craftsman.
Survivors are son, Mike Stahl (Lisa
Bench) of Buhler; daughter, Tami (Matt) Werner of Hesston;
stepdaughters, Natalie (Bert) Hawn and Angela (Monte) Lagree of
Sedgwick; brother, Bruce (Marilynn) Stahl of Overland Park; sister,
Robin (Ricky) Miller of Sedgwick; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11
a.m. Saturday (Dec. 1, 2018) at the Sedgwick United Methodist Church.
