Pastor Daniel G. Regier
HESSTON - Pastor Daniel G.
Regier, 84, died Wednesday (Aug. 22, 2007) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. He
was born on March 15, 1923, in Inola, Okla. to George B. and Maria (Janzen)
Regier. On June 2, 1947, he married Goldie J. Neufeld in Medford, Okla. She
survives at home. He was a graduate of Omaha College and later attended Grace
Institute for seminary training. The first church he pastored was the Swiss
Mennonite Church in Alsen, N.D. He later pastored churches in Washington, Minnesota,
Oklahoma and Pennsylvania. He had a deep conviction and concern for the people
he served. He also served as an administrator for the Moundridge Nursing Home
and one nursing home in Pennsylvania. He and Goldie enjoyed traveling. They
made special trips to the Holy Land, Rome, Holland, Canada and across the
United States. He enjoyed music and had a wonderful singing voice. He always
had a great sense of humor and a strong sense of family.
Survivors also include
daughters, Sheryl and Bill Wineinger of Andover and Sandra and Kent Unruh of
Denver, Pa.; a brother, Bill Regier of Elbing; four grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by
his parents; a brother, Henry Regier; an infant sister; an infant brother and a
sister, Frieda Unrau.
Service will be at 10 a.m.
today at First Mennonite Church in Newton with Clarence Rempel officiating.

Mennonite Central Committee in care of the funeral home.
