Minnie M. Stucky
Minnie M. Stucky, loving
mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died on her 94th birthday Thursday
(Aug. 30, 2007) at Presbyterian Manor in Newton. She was born on Aug. 30, 1913,
in San Miguel, N.M. to Frank and Helen (Ratzlaff) Dick. On July 26, 1932, she
married Eldo Stucky in Alta Mill. He preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2004. She
was a member of the First Mennonite Church in Newton. She and her husband owned
and operated Stucky Feeders Supply in Wichita. They were both actively involved
in the running of the business for many years. She enjoyed geneology and wrote
two children stories.
Survivors include a daughter,
Pat and Clinton Litsey of Sedgwick; a son, Gene Stucky of Wichita; a brother,
John Dick of Hesston; a sister, Laura Bickel of Hesston; grandchildren, Lynne
and Mike Youngquist of Lenexa and Alaina Wirtz of Wichita; and five
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; a brother, Clarence Dick; a sister, Clara Schirling; a brother,
David Dick; a sister, Evelyn Dalke; a brother, Fred Dick; and a sister, Anna
Regier.
Visitation will be from 1 to
9 p.m. Monday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel in Newton with family present
from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Service will be at 10 a.m.
Tuesday at First Mennonite Church in Newton with Pastor Clarence Rempel
officiating. Burial will be at First Mennonite of Christian Cemetery in
Moundridge.
