Delbert Hamm
HILLSBORO - Delbert Hamm, 73,
died Sunday (July 8, 2007) in Newton. He was born on June 16, 1934, in
Hillsboro to Edward and Bertha Hill Hamm. He was a contracted milk hauler. On
July 6, 1984, he married Carolyn Turner in Newton. He was a member of First
Baptist Church of Durham. Survivors include his wife; sons, Lonnie and Donna
Hamm of rural Hillsboro, and Ronnie and Denise Hamm of Newton; daughters,
Connie and Tom Jenkins of Pratt, Bonnie and Royce Saltzman of Newton, Sharon Schabel
of Wichita, and Tammy and Patrick Arebalo of Wichita; brothers, Duane Hamm of
Hillsboro, and Marivn Hamm of Wells; sisters, Elma Klein and Florence Hett,
both of Hillsboro; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and extended
family, a son, David Peaney of Newton; daughters, Chris Stuart and Carrie
Kasper, both of Newton.
He was preceded in death by
his first wife, Linda Hamm, in 1982.
Visitation with family will
be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday at First Baptist Church in Durham with Pastor Curtis Wiens
officiating. Burial will be private.
