Kathryn E. Buchmueller
PRATT - Kathryn E.
Buchmueller, 90, died July 16, 2007, at Lakewood Senior Living in Pratt. She
was born on Sept. 26, 1916, in Elbing to Anna (Herdum) and Gotlieb Mull. She
married Ewald J. "E.J." Buchmueller on Aug. 1, 1943, in Newton. He
preceded her in death. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in
Newton, Ladies Aid, Newton Assembly No. 6 Social Order of the Beauceant, where
she served as the past president and was the music director for 35 year. She
held a strong faith throughout her life and spent her lifetime caring for her
family. She enjoyed gardening, housework and her grandkids.
Survivors include a son,
Charles and Linda Buchmueller of Pratt; a sister, Anna Kasitz of Escondido,
Calif.; a granddaughter, Marlies and Tim Lamer of Springhill;
great-granddaughter, Naomi Lamer of Springhill; a grandsons, Nathan Buchmueller
of Pratt and Daniel Buchmueller of Woodstock, Ga.; and several nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, brothers, George August and Carl Mull, and a sister, Elinor
Ronish.
Visitation will be from 8
a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m.
July 30 at First United Church of Christ in Newton with the Rev. Bill Hickerson
officiating. Burial will be held prior to the service at Greenwood Cemetery in
Newton.
Memorials may be made to
First United Church of Christ and Lakewood Senior Living Center Auxiliary in
Pratt in care of the funeral home.
