MERLE D. PULASKI JR.
Merle D. Pulaski Jr. (Junior), 62,
passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, at his home at 145 N. Ash,
Wichita.
He was born March 2, 1956, at Bethel
Hospital in Newton. He graduated from Newton High School in May 1974.
Merle Jr. was preceded in death by all
four grandparents (Willie Samuel Pulaski aka Popi, and Josephine Fisk
Pulaski—paternal side, and Herman Witt and Effie Munson
Witt-maternal side), one uncle (Kenneth Pulaski, Newton) and two
aunts (Pauline Pulaski Gray, Bakersfield, Calif., and Iris Pulaski,
Topeka.
Survivors include his parents, Merle
Pulaski Sr. of St. Louis and Elda May Pulaski of Wichita, siblings
Teresa (Terri) Pulaski Ryman and husband Jerry of Elkhart, and Pamela
(Pami) Pulaski Strunk and husband Pete of Wichita, two aunts, Judy
(Pulaski) Box and Betty (Pulaski) Roth, both of Newton, and numerous
cousins, nieces and nephews.
Merle lived in Houston until 1998. He
was a machinist who worked for other companies before creating his
own business, Pulaski Enterprises. He had numerous contracts to
provide molds to various other businesses, including NASA. He moved
back to Wichita in 1998 where he lived until his death, working
various odd jobs.
Arrangements were handled by Petersen
Funeral Home in Newton. A family service was on Dec. 20 at a private
residence in Newton.
