Obituary
Fern Osborn Kimes, 89, passed away on
Monday (Jan. 14, 2019) at the Saline Memorial Inpatient Hospice in
Bryant, Arkansas, after losing her battle with Alzheimer's disease.
She was born on March 29, 1929, in
Bunker Hill, the daughter of John and Opal Lindsey Ehrlich. Fern was
one of three children.
As a longtime Newton resident, she
served as a Past District Aid, Past Worthy Matron and was a 50-plus
year member of the Newton Chapter #5, Order of Eastern Star.
Fern also spent time in Las Vegas
before settling in Alexander, Arkansas.
Survivors include her husband, Donald
Kimes; sons, Raymond Keith Osborn of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Michael
Osborn and wife Debbie of Wichita; daughter, Kathy Dickerson of
Conway, Arkansas; grandsons, Osric, Adam and Jared Osborn; and
several great-grandchildren.
Fern is preceded in death by her
parents; first husband, Jim Osborn; sister, Lynn; and brother,
Gordon.
Private graveside services will be held
at the Restlawn Garden of Memory in Newton.
