Obituary

E. Maxine Hedrick, 88, died Sunday (Jan. 20, 2019) at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation, Halstead.

She was born March 27, 1930, to Harry and Lilly Mae (Creason) Lazzers.

She was a 1948 graduate of Chase High School and worked as a bookkeeper and secretary.

On Feb. 22 1949, she married Lewis D. Hedrick in DeSoto County, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 2003.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane (Kevin) Henderson of Halstead; granddaughters, Amanda Giordano of Aurora, Colorado, and Samantha Henderson of Valley Center; and son-in-law, Sam Cruz of Littleton, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Jean Cruz; and sisters, Irene Branstetter and Helen Lazzers.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday (Jan. 25, 2019) at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 26, 2019) at Kaufman Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given to the Salvation Army in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
