OBITUARIES

FRIESEN Vernon Lee Friesen, age 73, peacefully took the Lord's hand and went home July 30, 2004. Born in Newton, Kansas, Vern became involved in the flour milling industry, working and supervising in various cities until retiring from ConAgra's flour milling operation in Columbus. Though a Miller by trade, Vern's life calling was in extending the Lord's love through personal visitation ministry and his work with the First Church of God in Hilliard. His greatest concern in life was that his family and friends experienced the peace and assurance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Now reunited with his daughter Pamela Sue Nagle, he will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Claudia of 55 years; children, Daniel L. of Minerva, Ohio, Vernon D., a U.S. serviceman abroad, Diana L. (Daryl) Sheffield of Hilliard; grandchildren, Tarasa, Aaron, Amber, Jason (Alicia), Heather, Brandon, Adam, Justin, Dan, Christopher, Tiffani (Nick); great grandson, Eric and numerous loving relatives and friends. Memorial service Monday 7 p.m. at Columbus West Church of God, 5109 Palmetto, Columbus, OH. Please deliver all flowers to the church.
