Lois Maxine Wiggers-Jewell
Lois Maxine Wiggers-Jewell,79, died Saturday (May 19, 2007)
at the home of her daughter in Middleburg, Fla. She was a service clerk at
Montgomery Ward for many years and then an office clerk at Dolly Madison Bakery
before retiring 34 years ago. She was born Dec. 6, 1927, in Caldwell, to Herman
and Virginia Derrick Pratt. She graduated from Arkansas City High School in
1946. She married Donovan C. Wiggers on Sept. 21, 1947. He died Sept. 5, 1989,
in Sun City, Ariz. They lived in
Newton from 1950 until 1966. She married Bernard Jewell on
Dec. 13, 1992. He died April 4, 2006 in Sun City, Ariz. She was a resident of
Sun City for the past eighteen years and was a member of Willowbrook United
Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Huggard of Tucson,
Ariz; Nancy Boling of Emporia; and Judy Edie of Middleburg, Fla; seven
grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother Bruce Pratt.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. June 16, in Maplewood
Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia.
