Robert 'Bob' L. Scheffler 1950-2015
Robert (Bob) Lynn Scheffler, 65, of
Newton, passed away Saturday (August 22, 2015) at his home. Bob was
born February 10, 1950, in Newton, to James and Evelyn (Gatz)
Scheffler.
He graduated from Newton High School in
1968 and from Southwestern College in 1972. On September 1, 1979, he
married Vickie (Granaas) Scheffler. Bob was employed as a cost
estimator at Bunting Magnetics. He was a lifelong fan of the Kansas
Jayhawks and the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed spending time with
his wife, children and grandson.
Bob is survived by his wife, Vickie;
mother, Evelyn; sons Daniel Scheffler and his wife Tiffany, of Kansas
City, and Michael Scheffler, Kansas City; daughter Katherine
(Scheffler) Dower and her husband Bill, of Norman, Oklahoma and one
grandson, Otto Scheffler of Kansas City.
He was preceded in death by his father,
James, and his brother, Ronald.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m.
Wednesday (August 26, 2015) at Petersen Funeral Home. Funeral
services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday (August 27, 2015) at Trinity
Heights United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Greenwood
Cemetery.
