Frances "Fran" Clark
Obituary
Frances "Fran" L. Clark, 73,
of Hesston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (Feb. 20, 2019) at
Newton Medical Center. Fran's life began on Feb. 21, 1945, in
Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Wayne and Martha Jo
(Coventon) Clark.
Fran was a 1962 graduate of Rosalia
High School and a 1966 graduate of Southwestern College in Winfield.
She received both her master's degree and her doctorate from the
University of Kansas.
Fran influenced many lives through her
passion for teaching, first as a teacher like her parents and then as
a university professor, teaching other teachers. She was a member of
Hesston United Methodist Church and served on the Council of
Exceptional Children.
Fran's greatest joy was her family,
which includes her parents who preceded her in death; siblings:
Kenneth (Cathy) Clark of Yorba Linda, California, David (Trudy) Clark
of Alamo, Texas, Nancy Clark of Little River, South Carolina, and
Lynn (Debbie) Clark of Newton; along with nieces, nephews,
great-nieces and great-nephews.
Fran's family will gather with friends
from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 24, 2019) at Carlson Colonial Funeral
Home (200 S. Star, El Dorado). Burial will take place at 10 a.m.
Monday (Feb. 25, 2019) in Blankenship Cemetery and there will be a
memorial service held at 2 p.m. at Schowalter Villa (203 W. Cedar,
Hesston).
In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions in Fran's name may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund
