Obituary
Jerald L. Runnebaum, 53, died, Tuesday
(Feb. 19, 2019) at St. Luke's Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri.
He was born Dec. 5, 1965, in Marysville
to Ralph D. and Jean (Koch) Runnebaum.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree
from Kansas State University.
He was a utility coordinator for the
Kansas Department of Transportation and served his country in the
U.S. Navy.
He was a Halstead resident since 2007
and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Ruth-Wilson
American Legion Post 231, both of Halstead.
On Jan. 2, 2012, he married Diane D.
Herb in Toronto; she survives of Halstead.
Other survivors include son, Gareth
Runnebaum of Kansas City, Missouri; daughters, Megan Runnebaum of
Monroe, North Carolina, Falon Runnebaum of Lawrence and Adelle
Runnebaum of Halstead; stepson, Derek (Kaitlyn) Gant of Halstead;
grandsons, Daemyn and Emrys, and granddaughters, Gwyndolin and
Calais, all of Monroe, North Carolina; father, Ralph (Judy) Runnebaum
of Manhattan; mother, Jean (Joe) Warders of Blue Rapids; brothers,
David Runnebaum of Silver Lake and Dustin (Dava) Warders of Blue
Rapids; sisters, Hope (Andy) Buessing of Colwich and Tamara (Michael)
Metcalf of Lubbock, Texas; and stepbrothers, Kevin Warders of
Marysville, Gary (Michelle) Muckenthaler of Topeka and Larry (Roni)
Muckenthaler of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by a
stepbrother, Jeff Warders.
The Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
Monday (Feb. 25, 2019) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead,
with visitation to follow. A second visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday (Feb. 26, 2019) at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville. The family
will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. The Rosary will be said 9:30
a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 27, 2019), followed at 10:30 by the Mass of the
Christian Burial, both at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Marysville.
Burial with military honors by Blue Rapids American Legion Post 169
will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Blue Rapids.
Memorials may be given to Ruth-Wilson
American Legion Post 231 or Midwest Transplant Network in care of
Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
