Emerson Adams
NEWTON - Emerson "Bud" Adams,
82, died Dec. 13, 2006, at his home, Newton.
He was born April 19, 1924, in Barnard,
the son of John Patric and Emma Reynolds Adams.
Survivors include: his wife, Virginia,
Newton; two sons, John, and Gerald, both of Newton; a sister, Idabel
Hingle, Independence, Mo.; seven grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and five
step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four
brothers, Leslie, Roy, Ernest, and Melvin; and four sisters, Elva
Lee, Vernita Dansby, Lola Adams, and Emma McGinney.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at
Petersen Funeral Home, Newton, with the Rev. Rick Adams presiding.
Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in White chapel
Memorial Gardens, Wichita. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday
at the funeral home, with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be sent to the American
Cancer Society, or to the March of Dimes, both in care of the funeral
home.
