Larry J. Hanke
WICHITA - Larry J. Hanke, 69,
died March 24, 2006, in Wichita. He was born March 8, 1937, to Irvin and Katherine
Hanke in Newton. They preceded him in death. He was a U.S. Navy veteran,
serving from 1951 to 1962. Larry was a longtime resident of Wichita where he
retired from Boeing as a precision machinist in 1995. Survivors include:
daughters, Rhonda Vogts of Denver, Shannon Dominguez of Firestone, Colo., and
Sharla Hankevogts of Denver; a son, Jason (Jamie) Hanke of Towanda;
granddaughters, Danielle and Keirston; and a brother, Robert Hanke of Spokane
Valley, Wash.
A cremation has taken place.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Restlawn Cemetery in Newton. Military
honors will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Newton.
