Pauline Fast
Pauline Fast, 88, died Monday
(May 8, 2006) at Kidron Bethel Health Care in North Newton.
She was born Sept. 4, 1917,
to David and Eva Janzen in rural Inman. They preceded her in death. She married
Arthur Fast Aug. 29, 1937, in Buhler. He preceded her in death Jan. 31, 1983.
She had been a member of
First Mennonite Church since 1958. She worked various jobs in the Newton area.
She enjoyed jobs that allowed her to bake, cook and do food preparation. Her
family will remember her as a loving mother and grandmother with a caring
acceptance of her expanding family who remember her with much love.
Survivors include: sons, Ken
Fast and wife Maureen of Newton and Wayne Fast and wife Beverly of Newton; a
sister, Elsie Jackson of Newton; a brother, A.D. Janzen of Cleveland, Ga.;
numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in
death by: a son, Richard Fast; a daughter, Marilyn Janzen; four brothers; and
three sisters.
Visitation will be from 1 to
9 p.m. today with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Petersen
Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 11
a.m. Wednesday at First Mennonite Church with Pastor Clarence Rempel
officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood
Cemetery.
Memorials have been
established with the Kidron Bethel Benevolent Fund in care of the funeral home.
