Lois Kimball
Lois Kimball, 79, died Sunday
(May 14, 2006) at her residence in Newton.
She was born July 16, 1926,
to Louis J. and Lillian (Wedel) Thomas in Moundridge. She was a member of First
United Methodist Church in Newton. A longtime Hesston and Newton area resident,
Lois was the former owner/operator of Advanced Press in Newton. She was a
member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary in Newton. She greatly
enjoyed ceramics, her flower gardens and had a love for animals.
Survivors include: a son,
Paul Wayne Kimball of Newton; a granddaughter, Katie Kimball of Lawrence; a
grandson, Ben Kimball of Halstead; a step-granddaughter, Elisha Kutilike of
Newton; and a companion, Tom Dillman of Wichita.
She was preceded in death by:
her father, Louis Thomas; a son, Robert Garden; and a brother, Martin Thomas.
Visitation will be from 3 to
9 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 2
p.m. Friday at Petersen Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathan Morgan officiating.
Burial will be in Creastwood
Memorial Park in rural McPherson.
Memorials have been
established with Caring Hands Humane Society and First United Methodist Church,
both in care of the funeral home.
