Leatha M. Kaup
Leatha M. Kaup, 85, died
Friday (May 26, 2006) at Newton Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 4, 1920, to
Roy Everett and Kate Nicholas in Rosalia Township. They preceded her in death.
She married James Snyder in 198o. He preceded her in death. She married Fred
Blue who preceded her in death in 1990, and she married Wayne Kaup who preceded
her in death in 1999.
She was a member of East Side
Methodist Church in Newton. She grew up in a rural farm setting. She loved
gardening, reading and music. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include: sons,
James Snyder and wife Connie of Newton, Glenn Snyder and wife Jolene of Inman,
Roy Snyder and wife Deborah of Verona, Mo., and Ronnie Snyder of Junction City;
sisters, Ruth Ann Naugle and husband George of Latham and Eula Mae McCoskey and
husband Melvin of Eureka; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to
9 p.m. today with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Petersen
Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 10
a.m. Wednesday at East Side Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Swearingen
officiating.
Burial will be in Little
Walnut Cemetery.
Memorials have been
established with Kansas Christian Home in care of the funeral home.
