Debbie J. Goering
Debbie J. Goering, 45, died
Friday (June 2, 2006) at her residence in Newton. She was born Nov. 24, 1960,
to Galen Roy and Leanna Louise (Swenson) Becker in Hutchinson. Her father
preceded her in death. Her mother survives of Hutchinson. She married Peter R.
Goering Oct. 4, 1986, in Hutchinson. He survives of the home. To this marriage
they were blessed with daughter Heather. Debbie attended Grace Community Church
in Newton with her family. She was employed by Norcraft manufacturing plant in
Newton as a buyer for nearly 10 years. She also was a Mary Kay Cosmetics
representative. Debbie served on the board of directors of the Quail Creek
Homeowner's Association. She greatly enjoyed gardening, flowers and working in
her yard. She also enjoyed antiques, auctions, and traveling and exploring bed
& breakfasts and old homes. Debbie's greatest joy was spending time with
her many friends and especially her close, loving family.

daughter, Heather Goering of Newton; a stepfather, Dale Baker of Hutchinson; a
stepmother, Rose Haugsness of Buhler; a stepfather, Milton Haugsness of Buhler;
brothers, Douglas Becker of Hutchinson and Bradley Becker of Derby; a
sister-in-law, Jane Ann Becker of Derby; a sister, Cheryl Treinen of Auburn; a
brother-in-law, Robert Treinen of Auburn; a sister, Kathie Wittorff of Derby; a
brother-in-law, Larry Wittorff of Derby; a stepbrother, David Lohrentz of
Leawood; a stepsister, Margie Howard of Woodward, Okla.; and a mother-in-law,
Nora Jane Schmidt of Inman.
Visitation will be from 1 to
9 p.m. today with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Petersen
Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be 9
a.m. Tuesday at Buhler East Cemetery in rural Buhler.
Memorial service will be 11
a.m. Tuesday at Grace Community Church with Pastor Steve Friesen officiating.
Memorials have been
established with Grace Community Church, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and the
Center for Basic Cancer Research, all in care of the funeral home.
