Dorothy Virginia Phillips Kerbs

PEABODY - Dorothy Virginia Phillips Kerbs, 85, church secretary for Peabody United Methodist Church, died Monday (June 5, 2006) at Asbury Park Home in Newton. She was born March 22, 1921, to D.E. and Nona Copeland Phillips in Columbus, Ga. Survivors include: a son, Neil Joseph Kerbs of Newton; a daughter, Patricia Bouterse of Newton; brothers, Jerry Phillips of Fortsen, Ga., Dana Phillips of Cottonton, Ala., Bennie Phillips of Columbus, Ga., and David Phillips of Atlanta; sisters, Eleanor Carden of Columbus, Sandy Richardson of Atlanta, Patricia Powell of Columbus, Ga., and June Carter of Arlington, Ga.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Baker Funeral Home in Peabody.

Service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Shalom Mennonite Church in Newton with Pastor Eric Massanari officiating.

Burial will be in Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.

Memorials have been established with Hospice Care of Kansas in care of the funeral home, 114 N. Sycamore Street, Peabody, KS 66866.
