Barbara J. Spillane
Barbara J. (McKelvey)
Spillane, 61, died Sunday (June 18, 2006) at her residence in Newton. She was
born April 13, 1945, to John and Helen McKelvey in Dodge City. They preceded
her in death. She married Ronald Spillane Sept. 27, 1964, in Newton after
graduating from Newton High School. He survives of Newton. Barbara was an
organized, artistic lady. She worked as an accountant. She loved her arts and
crafts that colorfully decorated her home. She loved her children, especially her
grandchildren.
Other survivors include: sons
and daughters-in-law, John and Debbie Spillane of Valley Center and Craig and
Christie Spillane of Newton; a sister, Vickie Reierson of Littleton, Colo.;
seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 1 to
5 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday with family greeting friends
from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Service will be 10 a.m.
Thursday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Greenwood
Cemetery.
Memorials have been
established with the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
