Mildred M. Nichols
Mildred M. Nichols, 93, died
Wednesday (June 21, 2006) in rural Newton. She was born April 14, 1013, in
Winona, Minn., to William C. and Henrietta (Groteguth) Mohrman. They preceded
her in death. She married Harold R. Nichols Oct. 16, 1937, in Shelbyville,
Tenn. He preceded her in death. She was a retired state of Iowa employee. Her
hobbies included sewing and playing bridge. She loved her family, friends and
her church very much. Survivors include: daughter and and son-in-law, Donna and
William R. (Nichols) Wilson of Newton; grandson and wife, Jim and Jodi Wilson
of Hutchinson; grandson and wife, John and Billi Wilson of Colorado Springs,
Colo.; grandson of wife, Michael and Marisa Wilson of Tonopah, Nev.; and seven
great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in
death by a brother, Roy C. Mohrman.
Visitation will be from 1 to
5 p.m. today at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel and 9 a.m. to noon Monday
at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be at 2 p.m.
Monday at Greenwood Cemetery. Officiating is the Rev. Phil Fischer. Burial is
in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials have been
established with Presbyterian Manor and Salem United Methodist Church in care
of the funeral home.
