Marguerite L. Falk

Marguerite L. Falk, 83, Valley Center, died Sunday (June 25, 2006) at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born Aug. 8, 1922, in Furley to Harry and Selma (Eilert) Patterson. On April 14, 1951, she married Paul L. Falk in Newton. He died on Oct. 4, 1998. She was a member of Kechi United Methodist Church and a former member of Furley United Methodist Church. Prior to marriage, she taught school. She was well known for her guitar playing. She played for many years at weddings and funerals in the area. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include a son, Frank and Patricia of Valley Center; three grandsons, Eric and Carrie Falk of Clarinda, Iowa, Nik and Shay Bell of Oregon, and Paul C. Falk of Valley Center; a son-in-law, Tony Eastham of Argyle, Wis.; a great-granddaughter, Alexandra Bell of Oregon; and three step-grandchildren in Argyle.

She also was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ruth Ann; a daughter, Paulette Falk; a brother, Lloyd Patterson; two sisters, Stella Parke and Marie Leap; and her parents.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Peterson Funeral Home.

The service was at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kechi United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rick Thornton officiating. Burial was at Green Valley Cemetery in Furley.
