Alice L. Wayne
HESSTON - Alice L. Wayne, 89,
died Aug. 1, 2006, at Schowalter Villa, Hesston.
She was born Aug. 10, 1916,
in rural Greensburg, the daughter of Solomon B. and Katie Wadel Jantz. She
owned a motel in Augusta with her husband.
On Sept. 9, 1938, she married
Charles "Ross" Wayne in Wichita. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include: a son, Bob
Ross Wayne, Iola; four brothers, Wesley and Wallace "Wally" Jantz,
Hesston, and Dewayne and Melvin Jantz, Greensburg; and two sisters, Bernice
Schmidt and Doris Diller, both of Hesston; two grandchildren; and a
great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by
a brother, Ben Jantz; and a sister, Pauline Diller.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.
Friday, Aug. 4, at Immanuel Baptist Church, Newton, with Pastor Mike Ronan
presiding. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at Schowalter
Villa, Hesston. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wichita.
