Lionel H. Hollingsworth

Lionel H. Hollingsworth, 88, died Sunday (Aug. 6, 2006) at Asbury Park Healthcare in Newton. He was born June 26, 1918, in Stafford to Charles and Rose Hollingsworth. In 1939, he married Arna Vivian Haven in Hutchinson. She preceded him in death. He was a retired mechanic in the aerospace industry. He will be remembered for his creativity in his hobbies. He enjoyed woodworking and playing the piano and violin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include two daughters, Saundra K. Dierks of Newton and Suzanne and Don Cherry of Whitewater; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by his parents.

A private service will be Saturday, with the Chaplain Bill Eichelberger officiating.

Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park in Hutchinson.
